Wine Review: This inky purple colored Malbec from the Snake River Valley in Idaho opens with an inviting blueberry bouquet with hints of black cherry, mild cedar, and mint. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, silky, supple, and fresh. The flavor profile is a mild cedar influenced milk chocolate and blueberry blend with notes herbal tea, black cherry, and juicy red plum. We also detected some hints of cinnamon and crushed granite. The finish is dry and its flavors and managed mild fine tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this very good Idaho Malbec with a bison meatloaf or a bison burger with bacon. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
