Wine Review: This almost clear colored Pinot Gris from Elk Cove opens with a gentle crushed stone and cantaloupe bouquet with a hint of peach pit. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is similar to the nose, featuring gentle crushed minerality and white peach pit with notes of almond and green tea. I also detected some hints of white pepper and a twist of lemon in the mix. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this Pinot Gris with grilled tarragon mustard chicken. Enjoy – Ken
