Wine Review: This translucent and light-yellow Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuisse opens with a lemon meringue and fresh cut oak bouquet with hints of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavors profile is an oak influenced pineapple and lime blend with notes of stony minerality and baking spice. I also detected some hints of green tea and butterscotch. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger and last nicely after the wine is gone. I would pair this Chard with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli smothered with a light cream butter sauce.
